Montagne在法语中指山脉，inter即冬天，所以intersMontagne就是岳冬。）

（艾克的名字来自一位传奇剑客。橘省/奥兰治/Orange是圭土城所在的省，圭土城既是橘省首府，也是山前共和国的首都，是山前共和国的的政治和经济中心。但经历了战乱和竞争，圭土城的现状远不如三十年前。）

（巴德的名字意为诗人，他的父母希望他有一个教士般的名字。他没有姓氏，所以用他的故乡把他和其他重名者区分。虽然不曾听巴德发表过什么诗歌，但他古文知识丰富，应该有这个本领。
巴德家世代养马，他没有姓氏，如果他有，那一定是司马。
所以巴德的汉译名是司马诗。
由于巴德这个名字已经够简单了，就不用司马诗这个出戏感太强的名字了Orz）
